Last August, Tom curated and
participated in this show, which brought together five artists who had
met and worked together at the Arco Arte studios in Carrara. Tom has been
going there to work for a few weeks each year since 2001.
The purpose of the exhibition
was to let people in Scotland see the variety and distinction of sculpture
being made in stone and marble by artists from different countries.
As such it was a success, and
attracted artistis and afficionadoes from Edinburgh, the Borders, Dumfries,
Fife, Perthshire, the North East, and Northern Ireland, as well as from
the Glasgow area.
