Susheila Jamieson

(Scottish Borders)

I am a sculptor living in the Scottish Borders primarily carving wood and stone. Aspects of nature and landscape inspire my work. My sculptures are organic, and aim to be sensuous and powerful.

I enjoy working with people and have worked extensively with community groups in both Scotland and England, helping them realise art projects in not only wood and stone but also bronze, ceramics, mosaic and more ephemeral materials. I also work to commission and run adult carving workshops from my studio.

At present I an Artist in Residence at Prestongrange Industrial Heritage Museum in East Lothian.
