My obligation as a sculptor is to reveal what is inherent in the material. In my dreams I see into the rock, clay, glass, or steel. The quintessential properties of the materials reveal the triths that are stored within them, and within myself. Regardless of whether I create a maquette or simply work free hand, the medium is paramount and I am its messenger.
