Brunton Hunter

(Scottish Borders)

Born Edinburgh 1947, lives and works in Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders and is self-taught in sculpture. He is a member of Borders Sculptors. He was commissioned by them to make a piece for the "Waymerks" project on the Southern Upland Way.

In 2002 he was selected by the National Museams of Scotland to donate a piece of sculpture for their annual charity auction in New York. He is now concentrating on stone sculpture, travelling regularly to Italy to study and work with marble carvers in Arco Arte Studios, Carrara.
